Ensure vehicle safety and ensure general mechanical and technical functions properly. Performs pre-trip inspection fluid levels, tire pressure, brake lights, and related areas. Monitor and complete preventive maintenance of mail delivery vehicle every 3500 miles
Maintain vehicle hygiene and cleanliness, and cares for all tools and equipment needed for job assignments
Provides quality customer service and be flexible of route changes and addition. Be ready for an occasional need to deliver packages
Be willing and hands on to assist in other mailroom operational activities
Be ready for additional work assignment, including administrative type of assignment
Must pass the city’s mandated defensive driving training annually
